These or the 96 tooth Craftsman 20 pc set at Ace for $69.99? Both have lifetime warranty. Seems both are made overseas.

Not every retailer offers free store pickup. Menard's and Sam's Club don't (unless you have a Plus membership).

That's one thing I hate about Menards. You can buy online for the same price in store and drive to the store to pick it up, but they charge you for the convenience of not having to find it on the shelf. Not only that, but the desk is in the back of the store and takes forever to get the thing you purchased.

The only reason I do it is to make sure the thing is actually available instead of driving there to find out they are sold out since I live so far away.

What is a stubby wrench actually useful for? I understand that a full-length wrench may not fit everywhere, but you can't get the same torque on a stubby one.

Ever had a situation where you couldn't turn a wrench because it was too long?

Having the most retail foot traffic travel the furthest/longest distance in the store increases the odds of selling more to the customer.

Its the retail business way of getting you to see more products and possibly buy something else.

Go to any grocery store in America (all the ones I've ever visited in any state) milk and eggs are always in the refrigerators in the very back of the store.

They aren't there by accident.

There's an exception to every rule. We have a chain here in Midwest called Meijer. There the eggs and milk are against the wall where the entrance is and the only thing you have to pass to get there is the produce. They put the bread on the back wall.

Yet Lowe's and HD have lockers right there at the front when you walk in at the service desk and you get your stuff fairly quick. Lowe's even has the lockers at some locations where your stuff is and open by app like Amazon lockers. My Tractor Supply has lockers at the front as well.

Menards is just different than all the others in several ways for better and worse.

Ya Menards uses every older retail tactic in the book. They still have a physical mailer, which isn't as common for other retailers. 11% rebates, who does physical rebates anymore... Their sales are kind of obscure too, fit X in a brown bag, etc. Sometimes you can get some decent deals though.

Order item online (with non-optional pick-up charge. Go to store. Confirm pick-up item is ready. Cancel that item and immediately buy that item at desk in store as thet restock it. No pick-up charge! OR: Buy it as pick-up item at store with pick-up charge. Return item immediately Receive full refund for item and pick-up chage. Item is now a store item. order. Buy it immediately in store as in-store item and pay no pick up charge. i certainly hope it would work and certainly would try, even with supervisor's asistance. Buy that item in-store with no pick-up charge. Please let me know if this works at Menards in the Midwest, as I sm in sunny Florida. Thanks. I hope so!
