I'm pretty sure the answer to this is "no", but does this version of the K8 have hot-swappable switches?
If it doesn't specifically say it's hotswap, then it's not hotswap. Years ago, I bought a K8 that was hotswap. Liked it and wanted a K8 for work. Found a good price but different vendor from where I'd ordered the first one, and the keyboarded ended up being soldered.

Paid a lot more for 2 of these a couple of years ago, but these are an excellent deal at this price.

Great build quality and sound.

I'd buy one if I didn't have two already.

Which one is the best value?
You could do your research online, but it's basically:

K are the standard keyboards, which have Bluetooth (BT) and are available with white or RGB backlighting, sometimes without backlighting, and can be purchased with a wraparound aluminum frame. These are not custom keyboards per se. They are mostly hot-swap, but you can usually not get barebones, and Keychron doesn't offer different plates.
There are a couple of C-series boards that are essentially K, but without Bluetooth.

Q are custom, non-BT boards, with high-quality aluminum bodies, usually with factory-fitted foam, different materials available for plates, and usually available barebones.

V is Q, but the body is not aluminum; it will be a premium plastic material with a translucent option.

I went with the K10 because I like my keyboard to be wireless.

Well, it's half a keyboard at half price. Not sure that's a good deal, but to each their own. For those that hate RGB as I do, most Keychron boards have a simple white backlit version available, so make sure you read before you spend. This guy had to learn the hard way:

Q10 just arrived. This thing is a tank! Build quality and typing feel is a huge upgrade over the Periboard 335 I was using previously. First time using the Alice layout and it's been an easier adjustment than I expected. It looks weirder than it feels and while my WPM is slightly lower than the Periboard right now, I expect it'll end up at least as high as my previous keyboard as I get used to it. Maybe even higher because the key feel is better and more confident.

If ergonomics are your top priority and you aren't coming from a nice mech keyboard, the Periboard is a good choice. But if you care about a quality typing experience and want something more ergonomic than a regular keyboard, I'd jump on this Q10 deal.

I got a k8 in brown switches. Not impressed. Keys feel lifeless. Sending back.

I love my keychron! I spilled a margarita all over it and it was just fine after I took off the keys, cleaned them, and put them back on. Great price.
More interested to know how the margarita did after that?
