People with weaker hand strength, older people, arthritis, if you have to do a large amount of pruning any of those and this thing is a lifesaver. It rips through large branches easily. Also helpful if you are in the Dewalt battery ecosystem already.

Just wondering what is the true use case that makes sense for these?

Pruning shears of many flavors and strengths are so cheap. They are super easy to use. Unsure how power assisted shears are really needed.

I've had this tool for 2 seasons now. I'm rather proud that I haven't lost a finger yet. These are incredibly powerful, and make easy work of some major pruning and yard-clearing jobs. Once you see how easily they'll slice through large branches, you'll understand how they can slice through a finger no problem.

This is normally $99 tool only. $208 retail is a stretch. With that said if you do a lot of pruning this is worth it.

I haven't used the cheap electric pruners, so I can't directly compare….but these will slice through about anything that will fit between its jaws. It's truly amazing.

Anything these can't cut…it makes sense that you'd use a saw or chainsaw.

Sorry, bad stereotype.

These pruners make yard work so much easier and faster. Mine broke after very heavy use after 3 years I didn't hesitate to replace them. The Dewalt pruners are much better then the Ryobi

I'm in a similar boat. I have no cartilage left in the joints at the base of my thumbs (right where you apply pressure with normal hand shears) and after pruning three rose bushes the old way my hands will hurt like hell the rest of the day, not to mention while I do it. I keep eyeballing these but sometimes think it's still not worth it.

Yeah if these were like 30, 40 bucks yes but double that is a bit much... I guess it depends on how much pruning you have to do...
