Seems like a great deal, just know it doesn't support display output as the USB-C is 2.0.

get ipad 11 if you dont need pen or keyboard -- better performance.

No, wait for another sale on the regular S9 for a very similar price BEFORE CB. Upgrade in every way except for support life and the keyboard. You will have very similar performance to A16 iPad too, with the benefit of much cheaper storage.
Especially since on this deal the chances of users being Android are much higher.

I think even iPad mini with A16 pro kills this, or m1 iPads

The Samsung Tabs are pretty good, but the Tab FE's aren't that great. I'd skip any of the FE's. Either get the S9 or the S10. Don't go for any of the FE's.

Google says:

Software Support:
The Tab S10 series is promised to have longer software support than the Tab S9 series, with 7 years of OS support on the Tab S10 Plus compared to 5 on the Tab S9 series.

Is there a noticeable lack of power on this? It would be perfect for my 90 year old grandma. I got her an iPad and she doesn't use. Without a universal back button, she can't figure out how to get out of things. Ipad os 26 will catch up on a lot of things to Android, but crap we don't use, who cares about windows on a tablet. Put a freakin back button on there.

haha.. apple is always forward looking! That's why they don't believe in ever going back!unless you absolutely need the keyboard, spending 400+ ON FE tablet is not good. I have the s7 and s9 fe and hate both. however I paid $70/120 and wouldn't spend more in themif your budget is 400+ , get the tab s8, s9 or S10 - used, new, wait for a sale but don't spend 400 on any FE tablet!

It does not. Highly regret buying the S9 FE. It's inferior in both performance and features to my years-old S7. Missed the return window on the S9 FE and it's a paperweight right now. Still use the S7 instead.

That said, a casual user who doesn't need to do heavy 3D gaming or connecting to a monitor/dock should be fine with it.

Crazy what prices have done. I got the S7+ and the same style case for $550 no trade in and it doesn't seem that long ago.

Even my S7 FE supports USB-C to TV output.
It is downgraded.

Did not know this. That makes me even more sad. I looked it up and it seems the S7 FE used a Qualcomm SD 750G processor.

These newer FE ones use Samsung Exynos and I am suspecting they simply don't have the silicon capability to do full USB 3 feature support. I guess they really wanted to make the FE line a real 'budget' offering. 😅
