I mean target had a 3 for 7 2 weeks ago so to me this normal sale price for these. I wouldn't call this "quite slick"...

I wish you the best of luck... A full size bag of chips hasn't been a dollar in decades. While I agree prices have gotten out of hand lately, calling it price gouging to raise prices above the levels they were 30+ years ago is a bit much. A dollar in 1995 is about $2.15 today (adjusted for inflation), which is about what they cost at Sam's Club regularly ($4.48 for a bag that is 2x the size, so $2.24 for a bag this size).
