Bought a version of this charger with 1x USB-c, 1x USB-A ports in January. No real problems, but it does get a big warm when my laptop is plugged into it.

Just bought a Phillips one with similar specs for 11. It was on clearance at Target tho YMMV (I did see other clearance items at a different price at another store)

I bought the version that includes the old USB port but thinking of grabbing this one too. If you only have a laptop plugged in will it charge at 65? Or is it always split 45/20?

I've never had any of these that don't get warm. Something north of 50% of all power generated in the country is lost as heat.
