Bundle alternative to the bare processor deal, $90 for a motherboard and 16 GB of RAM

Good if you want a very cheap bare bones system. The 7700X deal posted last week is a better value if you can swing the extra $80 for double the RAM and a better processor if you can accept an ATX board.

Good deal but why do they have to do you dirty with just one stick of ram?

Micro Center does sell an extra stick for 50 bucks. Still not a bad deal if you ask me.

Yep, you'll be at $320 at that point. Not a bad deal for sure, but that's only $80 away from their current 7600X3D bundle with a nicer TUF motherboard and 32GB RAM. If I were in the market, I'd definitely get that to finally have an X3D CPU so I could see what all the fuss is about.

I got a nice Intel 12700K combo from Micro Center for $350, and it will last me for years.

i'm most likely going to snag that 7600X3D bundle in a couple of weeks, hoping it'll still be there when I get back from out of town.

really depends if you're cpu locked. went from a 3700x to a 5800xt and saw better lows but FPS highs were about the same on a 3080. With a 5800x3d, there was about a 30% increase overall in FPS, lows and highs. Mid settings on Warzone which more CPU heavy.

It's a little more nuanced than that, when talking about x3d chips. Some games benefit tremendously from that extra cache, while others simply don't. There are examples of people gaming at 1440p or higher and still seeing big bumps in certain games by upgrading to newer x3d chips. I think Warzone is an example of a game that benefits quite a bit. Same with most esports titles and competitive shooters.
