FYI if you're new to these check with your homeowner's insurance company, they might offer a premium discount for owning these type of sensors. 2 companies I've dealt with have a discount for water sensing and a larger discount for a system that integrates an auto shut off. The discount for sensing is enough to pay for something like this, let alone the fact you get it every year. The auto shut off discount isn't nearly enough to pay for that equipment though.

Cool! while searching that deal I see that the 8 pack on the GoveeLife website is $67.50 ($8.44/sensor) with 10% off discount code NOMORELEAKS10 and free shipping: https://us.govee.com/products/sma...8913068217. Can also pay with Paypal for the $5 cashback $10+ deal (targeted deal, ymmv)
*Edit June 19 2025: It looks like the price has increased to $72 with the discount :/

Better deal here if you need an 8 pack, $9.19 per detector versus $11 per detector for the 3 pack:

I have this system and it's been great. I only know because my house cleaners set at least one off once a week so I know they work! I get the obvious physical alarm sound, a text AND an email. All within a minute

How did you set them up for a text message ? The devices are great but sometimes the app isn't the first thing I see

Any recommendations on a shutoff for the waterline to leverage the sensors?

Don't get why the price range is so large for these. And inline really that much better than the clamp on variety?

I have these and the battery lasts well over a year.

The painful part is that it doesn't have low battery alerts on the app and the devices just go off. So if you're out for a vacation, be prepared for some really pissed neighbors. Don't ask how I know this.

So if you're disciplined enough to change the battery every 12 months, this is a good buy.

By the way if you add each item separate it ended up cheaper for me at least by ~$4

Does the app tell you which device has gone off? If I buy 2 to use at 2 locations, how do I know which one has gone off? Can I name them or something?

The dome clamp on is great, it looks like they don't make it anymore (probably because of the proliferation of clones) but if you have a way to interface zigbee devices there's some decently reviewed clones on Amazon, or the zooz titan is probably good as most of their products are but it's up around 200 bucks. I managed to grab a Dome for like 100 when they were still around and the premiere clamp on and it's worked every time with no fuss.

Highly recommended these, have had 2 slow leaks develop under sinks that would have been disasters if they went unnoticed. Immediate alerts on the app have been huge lifesavers. I have recommended these to multiple friends.

Can these pair with the hub that came with water leak detector 2? The flat looking ones..

Do these require location to be on at all times?

I agree, some offer discounts so definitely check with your insurance company.

Thank you for this. I contacted Lemonade, who does our homeowners insurance, and they reduced our annual cost by $10 Smilie
