Nice I just set mine up. If you download the ColorControl app you can access the secret menu on the tv from your pc and disable the annoying auto-brightness.

Then you can use the LGTV companion to turn it into more like a monitor where you don't need the remote to turn on/off the tv each time you turn on/off your desktop. Might be able to do that with just the ColorControl program too but not sure exactly.

The problems happen when you try to max all these things out. It's already hard enough finding the right gpu, cable, monitor, and software support to actually give 4k + 120/144hz, Dolby display/hdr10 + atmos sound, and g sync without flicker or issues --trust me, I have too much frustrating experience with trial and error until I finally got everything right. Wanting all that + 240hz is just asking for disappointment. It might be best to live slightly outside the bleeding edge until the kinks get worked out

Great price! I love my C2 as a monitor but would really like the 144Hz of the C4.

This one still does 120

This was my dream monitor but now with frame gen I'm probably going to wait for 240hz. The reduced latency from a higher native frame rate I think is worth it.

I pulled the trigger. Best price it has been since it's been out without any cb offers tacked on. Probably will be the lowest it goes before clearance to get rid of remaining stock. Didn't feel like waiting for absolute bottom dollar and being forced to the c5 which is barely brighter with a better processor for $$.

Thanks op

This is my current TV/Monitor. I love it. Surfing the net and watching you tube can be watch up front because the high resolution, but I have still sit further back when watching movies or tv shows.

Thanks for mentioning this. I also had the 5+5% but it was buried in checkout.

I'm
Wondering what deals are right around the corner for the July 4th.
July 4th TV deals are the same as Labor Day, President Day, Memorial Day sales.
The best TV deals are BF/Cyber-Monday, Xmas, Super Bowl AND when stores start selling the new models. They want to get rid of old stock. They will label new unused, unopened TVs as open-box just to get rid of them.

Picked up a c3 last year to use as a pc monitor. It's awesome once you get it dialed in, but you'll definitely need to leave all the anti burn-in features active and avoid try to avoid bright, static environments. After about 4000 hours, I started to notice faint signs of image retention; fortunately LG made good with their warranty and a technician swapped my panel for a new one(they transfer all the components to a new panel which takes about 15 minutes).

Can you change the aspect Ratio to 21:9 in game optimizer on this model, or is that only on the new C5 models?

C4 goes up to 144hz, C3 was only 120hz.
