Where are you getting this info? Product materials say "plastic, rubber" which are not biodegradable. I'd be includes to purchase if they were since, as Mr Mochi pointed out, it's a PITA to clean up pieces of balloon all over the yard. I fear that biodegradable material is not an option to provide that classic, back-stinging feeling of a direct hit from a water balloon.

They are made of natural latex. Breaks down in weeks to months depending on the environment. I never pick them up and they absolutely disappear after a month or so.

My kids use these all the time, and yes, they do end up all over the yard, but I just leave them there. They seem to break down quickly, especially in the sun. After a few days, I don't notice them in the yard any longer. It can't be any worse than the pesticides sprayed by the lawn people. I will say, don't let them stay on your stone or tile deck outside; they become a PITA to remove if you let them stick and melt on a hard surface.

I agree. My yard may not be spotless, but I don't like trash lying around. That said, my grandkids have used these balloons many times, and I worried about them, at first, but they seem to disappear in a short time.

We buy the big packs from Costco. These disappear after 3-4 weeks. Natural and biodegradable.

I mostly do the same and they disappear into my yard. I do some pickup of the easy to see big chunks. Will (sometimes) gently rake some more and pick up some more pieces then eventually let the mower handle it. The time spent cleaning is worth my kids joy
They also help with the cleanup

Also for what its worth, i dont think this is a "great" deal. I usually stock up on these on clearance at the end of the season but that obviously doesnt help if you need them now.

They do dissolve but they linger. If you want a middle ground the grenade style ones hide (practically disappear) better than the neon colors.

I bought one of these at Walmart for like $9 just to see if it worked and it's really cool. Makes for a really quick and easy setup for kids to have a water ballon fight. Genius really.
