IMO, 64gb is the perfect size for a modded 3DS

Given the state of the state of the SSD market, and ignoring that you are buying from NewEgg, this is a decent price for a decent budget drive.

MSI 7300MB/s drive was $10 more yesterday with phison controller. Teamgroup uses InnoGrit controller which had issues on the Acer drives

Prices have been going up. This SSD was selling for $105 but 6 months ago it was sub $90.

I ordered the MSI one but wondering if I should swap to this. would I notice much of a difference if using as a game drive?

Thats QLC, this one is TLC. Real life speeds will be better with this one, especially when moving very large files.

MSI is TLC Kioxia NAND

QLC wouldn't have 1200TBW on 2TB drive.

Games don't benefit from NVME vs SSD. Only productivity work and video editing

Correct. I have a Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SATA and a Crucial T500 2TB NVMe, in my PC and there's no noticeable difference between the two in games. Now my boot drive is an Optane 905 960GB, and that did boot Windows ten seconds faster than the Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB NVMe it replaced.
