This is a decent price if you need a very simple cable, but it's missing some very important (IMO) features that modern phones need:

  1. No USB-C Power Delivery (most modern phones rely on this for fast charging)
  2. It only goes up to 15 watts (5 volts x 3 amps)
  3. This is not enough for modern Android smartphones that are capable of charging at around 40 watts
These would be good cables for low and slow charging USB-C accessories like headphones, ear buds, smart watches, etc. But for smartphones, you might want something faster.

Unless it's by your bed for overnight charging

Seems a bit overpriced for basic cables. All they have going for them is that they look nice, compared to the pricier ones with a better feature set.

Strange that basic cables at this price went FP. Anker 'deals' don't seem very cost effective these days anymore. Here is a 3-pack of more-or-less the same thing at the same price: https://a.co/d/fxusEtx

Might not be the slickest of deals but still a good price for what they are and considering it's a more reputable brand

I'll take the Anker over this no-name any day.

But it wouldn't matter. You surely wouldn't use it to charge your phone or laptop, at best connect your PC/Consoles to peripherals. Any cheap cable could do that.

People use USB A chargers all the time. I didnt trade my cars in to get USB C ports instead of USB A. I didnt sell my media room furniture to get USB C vs A. I still have USB A ports on multiport chargers…and if you really need a multiport charger, then you may have to use a USB A with it.

It would be great if everything was USB C…but that just isnt reality. So "Yes" I would use them to charge anything when only a USB A port is convienent.

S24 requires a minimum of 15W. So it will work. Iy just wont charge as fast.

I'm not talking the type of cables. I'm talking about the cable brand themselves. Any generic USB-A cable would be good and wouldn't be worth the premium this is.

Just threw out two of my Anker wires as they are dead. Tested them thoroughly with different devices with no luck. They were in great shape as their no breaks or bends. I was pretty shocked.
