The term "scam" seems to be overused and applied to any deceptive business practice today and used by my entire family and friends.
Typically scams and scammers intentions are to deceive and exploit for financial gain while never delivering any products or services. Literally stealing your money.
a "bait and switch" or a "hoodwink" they trick you into buying a different product or service, maybe inferior or a superior product (at a higher price). BUT the difference is that they actually deliver a product or service.
I may be wrong. Maybe what I'm thinking is "fake news"....
Maybe we're close to 1984 with all this double speak crap.
