Exactly, this has been on my radar for awhile but not at this price - too big of a backlog as it is.

Not worth this price at all. This was a big disappointment. All the "Game of the Year" comments last year were ridiculous. I was dying for this game to come out, and I bought it day one, and it was a big letdown. It's way easier than I expected, and repetitive, with almost no exploration, and there's very little story. This basically requires you to do your own research on the story, outside of the game. This is a pretty game, but it's really only worth $20 in my eyes.

I thought this game was phenomenal. It's very God of War (PS2/PS3 versions) in its set up and that hooked me. Knowing nothing about Chinese mythology everything looked obscure and weird as hell but that made enemy types awesome. We see so many games rooted in Japanese culture/mythos (which is why Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh seem a little stale in comparison even though they're also fantastic games) so having this game come out and be an actual great game accompanied by the backdrop was a breath of fresh air.
