How does this compare to the G753? That one feels like a bit overkill but the sale prices are similar, around 1,600

9070 is roughly comparable to RTX 3080. You can get a 3080 desktop on eBay for like $550 used or $1000 new. Maybe spend another $100-150 to get more RAM and SSD.

Maybe 3080 GPU alone for 550, but the whole rig is like 800-900 bucks. Can you share a link that you find a whole 3080 desktop for this price 550?
