I have one of these and it is more of a charger than a booster. It will not provide a lot of amps required to instantly jump start a vehicle but it will boost the dead battery by charging it over a period of time from your Dewalt battery. It is like a portable charger, I use a larger battery like 9-12AH to charge batteries that don't have a power outlet near them
