FYI, no Auto Duplex Scanning
An especially cool software included for scanned images is Xerox Workflow Central, allowing you to convert documents into other languages, change handwritten messages into shareable text documents, create audio files of hardcopy to listen to on the go, automatically redact content, and convert scans into Microsoft Office Applications
Compatible with inexpensive generic toner?

I see that this printer is Apple Airprint compatible. Is it similarly easy to use with Android phones?

Can you print from Android? Wired print from the Android C port when no WiFi is available?

It says there is a WiFi direct feature which I'm assuming would allow you to connect your device to the printer's WiFi network and print that way.

Scan to XML for no hassle file storage. Does Xerox still have that proprietary toner/drum nonsense?

I'm wondering the same. Can I use third party cheaper toners or are they actively hostile on that?

It's why I'm considering getting a Brother, but none at this price of course.

This comparable Brother refurb can be had for $143.99 shipped using code TAKE10NOW at checkout:

Brother refurbs come with sealed cartridges, have a 1 year warranty, and are widely reported to be indistinguishable from new.

If anyone needs to use airprint (say you have an apple device), you might want to avoid this Xerox B235.

Someone reported airprint no longer works on firmware MXLSG.230.091.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Xerox/co..._airprint/

According to Xerox here, that's already the latest firmware. So the issue still exists.

https://www.support.xerox.com/en-...anguage=en

Also, I wasn't able to figure out if it's natively compatible with android phones. The description and advertising for this printer does mention "chromebook printing", but that's not android. That said, it does have "mopria" support so I guess you could just install both the mopria print and mopria scan apps from the play store.

Don't know if this helps, but I purchased the color version of this a couple years ago and I have replaced the toner w/ generics from Ebay. Had a grinding gear issue with one cartridge, replaced it, did just fine.

It really is a nice printer.

That's a nice printer, but I really need duplex scanning with a feed. I have a crap ton of documents I need to digitize.

Really tempting, and now I'm jealous of your color version!\
That said, I believe Xerox have among the best scanners.

Duplex capable ADF is generally reserved for the top models in a series. I believe the Brother MFCL2750DW has it, but it's last generation and I don't know the model number that replaced it.
