Fyi...

"USB 3.1 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 are essentially the same thing, with the latter being a rebranding by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). Both offer a maximum data transfer speed of 10 Gbps. The renaming was part of an effort to simplify the naming conventions for USB standards.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
USB 3.1 Gen 2: This was the initial name for the 10 Gbps standard.
USB 3.2 Gen 2: This is the rebranded name for the same 10 Gbps standard."

i used both on an older i5 8th generation desktop and the whole thing is irrelevant.
if you are Bleeding edge tech then maybe this is relevant.

10gb is plenty fast. That's about 900-1000mbps… the fastest write speed I have ever seen on an nvme write speed for something like video editing was 600mbps which is barely above SATA speeds. So for a video editing or transfer drive from a pc or Mac or something it's plenty fast.

I already have 2 nvme usb drive things but they are the kind with the built in usb on the device and they don't have cooling. I like the concept of this better
