I use a wooden toothpick. Don't want to risk shorting something.

Bought this exact set for this price 2 days ago. I'm actually charging my phone right now with one. Have zero complaints and it clicks into the port and doesnt easily wiggle out, which other wires do and that drives me crazy.

I find taking a plastic toothpick, trimming a tiny bit from the tip with a nail clipper to make it more solid, and then dipping it in isopropyl alcohol before cleaning helps loads. I just did a coworkers phone like this last night and you'd be surprised how much kludge can get in there. he wasn't able to change his phone except a certain angle. now it's charging perfectly.

no place to enter code and shows 7.99 for me
It's a bit tricky to spot at first. After you to to check out, it will give you the option to proceed and then it will say "place your order" at the top, but below that you will see...

Paying with Mastercard 1111 (or whatever your default cc is)

right below that is a clickable link that says

"Use a gift card, voucher, or promo code" click that and enter the promo code. It did not work for me, but perhaps it will for you, unless the deal is dead by now

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
Me too, also got the rejection but then I deleted it from the cart and used "buy now" and got the deal.

Still working for me Monday morning. $5.16. Instead of putting it in the cart use the buy it now option and enter the code in payment options. Today I did not need to enter the code again because it saved it from yesterday. BTW the Basesailor 10 ft which goes on sale for $4.50 is much nicer quality 100 watts instead of 60 w, more flexible and comes with C to USB A adapters.
