I use a wooden toothpick. Don't want to risk shorting something.

Bought this exact set for this price 2 days ago. I'm actually charging my phone right now with one. Have zero complaints and it clicks into the port and doesnt easily wiggle out, which other wires do and that drives me crazy.

I find taking a plastic toothpick, trimming a tiny bit from the tip with a nail clipper to make it more solid, and then dipping it in isopropyl alcohol before cleaning helps loads. I just did a coworkers phone like this last night and you'd be surprised how much kludge can get in there. he wasn't able to change his phone except a certain angle. now it's charging perfectly.

I've been using a USB-A-to-C variant of this cable to power and charge a portable fan for more than a year. It's held up very well. The right-angle connector prevents the cable from snagging and breaking when the fan is adjusted, which was a recurring problem with its included cable and others that I tried.

I own 4 of these AINOPE cords (angle).
I bought two; then bought more on purpose.
If your cord is having trouble seating in your device power it down (and remove the battery if possible) then bend a safety pin and use the pointed side to scrape out lint caked to the bottom of your port.

I have 8 of these at varying lengths that I purchased more than 2 years ago. Every single one still works after daily use by my family, including two children under 10.

Never heard of Ainope, but if y'all recommend it it's hard to go wrong for $5. I think I'll like the 90* plug. And the company sums up how I feel about ai too-- NOPE! Thanks OP

While that's probably technically possible... I would consider it extremely unlikely in an area designed to take in current.
