Whoa… this… uh… wait it seems enough to displace a fridge?! Hm… 100w x 24 h = 2400 wh so maybe it is near there… the batter provided is 280 x 12 = 3360 wh so it will work if every other day is sunny at least. Fascinating. I wish there is a way to use this batt and then the main supply.

You could wire it in with an automatic transfer switch.

Also most fridges have a 50% duty cycle, so they really only run half the time. But you would have to consider inverter inefficiencies and the fact that the inverter needs to be on all the time

Not really. My 7KW system produces 11000KWh a year and cost me $16000. So they are about equal. But I know for sure that my system produces 11000KWh and that includes all non-sunny days and it is on the roof but that small system would need to be positioned in direct sun and all days would have to be sunny. Maybe in the desert.

If you're only using the one battery at 12v, I don't know how you would run a fridge, don't you need at least 24-48v for that?

The 2K inverter shouldn't struggle too much on a common fridge, but you won't be running the whole kitchen on it. Secondly a pro tip..if you have a fridge with auto-defrost, figure out how to turn it off (sometimes a timer can be turned off), as the defrost 'cycle' burns through a ton of energy for no real gain during an extended outage.

You probably could do some level 1 charging with this, but if my math is right, the panels will only produce around 1 kwh per day( maybe 2kwh). So if the EV battery was empty, it could take 30 or 40 days to fully charge it.
