Been eyeing this pellet smoker from Lowe's and they just dropped it by $100.

It still uses a their older PiD but it's WiFi and bt compatible. Adjustment of 10F increments.

Original price $499 new price is $399.

Must select in store pick up. Delivery shows original price for me.

Anyone have recommendations on a good budget smoker that can smoke a lot of meat? (say in the $100-400 range) I don't need the thing to be top notch quality, I've found smoking for just a couple of hours and then transferring to the oven get's you a very similar taste profile without needing to tend to a smoker all day.

Pellet or propane?

I've still got the $240 for $200 gift card deal. Discover rewards is currently 10% off for Lowe's gc as well. I could pick this up for 200 out of pocket plus ~100 in cc rewards.

Honestly get this one. This can smoke more than any of the pellet grill style can. If comparing this to other fuel types like gas or wood chips, I think the benefit of pellets is that this is almost a true set it and forget it.

My plan when I get mine is to smoke meats at low temps, locking in flavor and when it comes time to wrap, I'll just finish that in my oven.

I returned mine, 10+ reviews talk about them catching on fire. I smoke too close to my house to keep an eye on ribs and brisket cooked low and slow. has a lot of good features, but 10+ fires on lowes reviews is a lot

I like a lot of smoke flavor and pellet grills/smokers just don't do it for me personally. I prefer my offset, but that's a whole day and a lot of attention. When I just want good smoked meat without hassle I go to my electric. It takes the work out of it and the best I've found is:
Masterbuilt digital electric vertical BBQ Smoker with leg kit
https://www.amazon.com/Masterbuil...V4DJ4?th=1
or this
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Masterbu...5014598407
Plus, you should really add the Masterbuilt Slow and Cold Smoker Accessory
https://www.amazon.com/Masterbuil...r=1-4&th=1
The cold smoking accessory allows you to smoke for 3 to 4 hours without adding more chips, and I've had outstanding results with it. With it you can truly smoke low and slow.

All grills are a fire hazard. But pellet grills do present a higher risk, mostly due to lazy people who don't clean them often enough. That applies to all pellet grills, not just this brand/model.

Plus it produces a great amount of smoke.
