I have 3 of these 1.6gpf variants at my home for about a year now, only 1 clog so far, the claimed non stick properties are also a lie.
Great toilet. I put this thing through hell twice a day every day, and all day on National Taco day.
i've never sat on a tall toilet until a month ago at the industial complex for my industrial garages. they replaced the toilet with a tall one. that was a weird feeling. got used to it. not a biggie. it's really designed to help the elderly and those with injuries get on and off easier. it's standard commericial code for my area now.

Is this super tall like half of the toilets in America? I can't even crap with my heels on the ground

Thanks. Bought one of these earlier this year and have been watching them closely waiting for a sale. Bought three more. They use very little water and flush very well.

I do recognize that Toto has been de-facto in east-Asia. Do these use non-standard parts? How do these toilets fare compare to the typical standard toilets? I am getting tired to fixing them again and again in the past 30 some years. The filler or flapper require constant maintenance, at least 1x every 5-7 years. Want a 1 time investment for life...

I also opted for the 1.6l versions instead of the 1.28. I paid around the same amount from Bed Bath and Beyond using a coupon code.

heh, stool.

what's up with the lever on this thing? is it awkward to use? I have one of the newer Drake models with the "horizontal" lever.

Have any idea if the 'accordion' plungers create enough vacuum at the bottom of the bowl, to be effective? I've found more and more toilets are asymmetrical there, defeating consistent plunging.

Love the flushing power of this toilet, as well as the whirlpool style flushing design. It's easy to install too. Love the double washer system for the tank attachment.

Bought three of these about a year and a half ago for a new house build. They were about the same price (delivered) from Wayfair. We have one round and two elongated, all in cotton white.

- We haven't had any problems with the 1.28 GPF. They are required in my area and we haven't had a single clog.
- The ceramic coating actually works well to keep them clean. Anything that might 'stick' after the first flush completely disappears the next time it's flushed.
- They are mid-height... not as low as a standard toilet, not as silly high as some of the 'chair height' models.
- The handle (at least on ours) can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Horizontally is definitely preferred.
- We saw complaints about the Toto toilet seats. Ended up buying Mayfair soft close. Not a 100% profile match, but close enough. They're well built and clean up easily, with no rust around the screws.
