I tried all kinds of things. Leave in dry for 20 minutes, wet for 20 minutes, wet for 5 minutes. Never did anything except stain my scalp and make a mess.

I've always had very good results with this product. Shading is gradual and natural looking. I usually leave it in for about 10 minutes before rinsing out. I only need it about once a week at most. I'm in for one.
