This is great advice.... If you want a battery that lasts a year and a half tops. I have tried several of these...Makita 18v, Dewalt 20v(18v) and Milwaukee 18v. Yes,they're cheap....that's because they have garbage 18650 cells in them and at least one of the cells will go faulty within two years, rendering the entire pack worthless. I've disassembled and inspected/tested the cells in the ones I bought that died. I've ever rebuilt a couple of them with proper cells.
Buy the name brand batteries that have proper Samsung, Panasonic, LG, etc. cells in them. Aside from the fact that you'll save money in the long run, lithium cells are essentially little bombs. Don't be cheap here.

Have it. Love it. The included filter is HEPA. I was worried about run time. I had read it gets 20 minutes on a 6Ah battery. My biggest battery is 4Ah and I get around 15 minutes. That doesn't sound like much, but most of the jobs I have used it only require a few minutes of intermittent running. It works really well with the Bosch 18v random orbital sander which is the bees knees of cordless ro sanders IMO.

Is this part of the Lowes BOGO deal? I can select it but there is nothing to tell me that I need to select something else.

I also have this vacuum. Works great. Love it for cleaning out the car among other things around the house. Good power for battery. Plenty of battery time for small to medium tasks.

Not unless you plan on buying other Bosch tools.

Buy off-brand generic batteries from Amazon. I have used them with this great vacuum for quickie vacuuming around the projects, garage and rentals. Don't notice any drop off in performance.

$99 Amazon now. But Amazon return to UPS store is easier for me than going back to Lowe's.

I love my 18v RO sander, I also recently picked up the 12v and also love it! Not sure which I like more…

I don't understand, is it that you don't think Bosch batteries put out 260 amps? I mean, my car battery can put out 800 in the cold!

I have this vac setup at my workbench w a cyclone separator to do small cutting and sanding tasks. It's similar in performance to my festool extractor, which is to say, I can do small woodworking projects inside my home and the air remains mostly clear. The batteries discharge faster than they charge and get too hot to put back on the charger immediately. Although there is a sealed battery compartment, I leave it open to run just a bit cooler. Would only enclose it if I was doing wet-vac.

It does pull better than my single battery Makita LXT extractor but is still not cut out for continuous sanding projects. Corded power is the way to go there.
