Concentrated is a way to sell more because many consumers think they have to use more than what the manufacturer says to use. And the reality is that less is more with detergent. Unless your clothes are really dirty and there is a lot of them, you don't need to use the recommended amount. I don't use concentrated detergent and the amount I use for most loads is about half of what they recommend and clothes turn out clean. If you are a mechanic or an arborist then by all means use the recommended amount and pretreat.

Shipping liquid from Amazon is always a disaster.

I agree. Make sure you aren't ordering anything else at the same time, or the idiots in the warehouse will dump it in the same box. I bought an expensive teak cutting board years ago and had already ordered Lysol toilet cleaner. When I received my order, the cutting board was a blue mess.

Stuff like this happens all the time, and I don't understand why they don't correct it. I recently had a case of Hint water thrown in a box with fragile items that ended up crushed. These people are stupid.

Amazon cs used to be generous and very much focused on customer needs but I think they have gone full on $hit now and rarely do anything useful.
Amazon has always made things right, even though stupid mistakes happen. Years ago, they would offer $5 or $10 compensation right off the bat, but that's the only difference I see.

I wish S&S would die - how about a simple, no-strings, regular-azz good ol' fashioned coupon from time to time? Or would that mess up the margins needed for stuff like making Katy Perry an "astronaut?"

Yes make sure you order separately. I recently ordered a bottle of cleaner that containers bleach. Ordered perishables and food items. Everything was thrown into those Amazon grey plastic bags. Yes, those stupid plastic bags, not even a cardboard box. You could smell the bleach even before opening the bag. Everything soaked in bleach. Amazon wanted pictures for a refund. I gave them a pic of the dumpster, because I wasn't going to bring a dripping bag of bleach into the house.
