Configuration problems = stay away for me

I rather have a reliable router with reliable firmware 100% over the latest and greatest tech

Let's be real - unless you have and paying for gigabit almost all routers are overkill

Looks like it supports OpenWRT (see link below). Flashing the firmware doesnt seem to be easy though.

OpenWRT is amazing. I'm still using a 7 year old Netgear R6700v2 because of it.

Totally agree, in my experience I have found the more hardware intensive routers always perform worse. I have tried a few ROG products of theirs and they always disconnect, downgraded to a AX5400 and sure the speeds arent as fast but I dont notice, and I havent had an issue in 2 years

"While the router turns on, use your third hand to keep the 0 (zero) key pressed"

LOL.. I don't have a third hand, but I presume the instruction, you will need a second person to help keeping that button pressed, while you use your two hands to issue all the commands to overtake the original firmware.

Apparently the Acer Connect Vero has less features than the Acer Predator Connect. Looks like the Predator Connect is a better value at 79.60 plus 15% coupon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1

Or a pet (perhaps a dog) could help out. Smilie

They do, if they're going to flash it with OpenWRT ...

In my experience, they made terrible hardware, regardless if you can flash it with other firmware. This includes laptops and all the other stuff they make, but YMMV.
