it depends on your workflow. the S4 is great but it's all in one chamber. The space pi has two compartments so you can dry different filaments at different temps for different durations. that's pretty much the biggest difference. other than that, you should think about your setup to see if your filament path works well with how the spools and outlets are oriented.

In that event stick with the cheaper one. Get some experience with your printer before making other accessories purchases.

as crazyheaven said, stick with the cheaper one if you already bought it. or better yet, cancel that order and get a single or dual spool dryer for even cheaper and takes up less space. if your daughter is only starting out, who knows if she or you will stick with it. get some experience and knowledge and you can always get a larger dryer in the future. these things will only get cheaper (and better).

Is there a dual spool version available on sale? Interested in this dryer to the higher temperatures this can go for engineering filaments compared to the sunlu.

Don't over do it. I have never had to dry my filament (PLA/ABS/ASA), if you live in a dry climate you won't have to either. TPU/PETG will need to be dried if you use those, PLA/ABS/ASA if you have high humidity too. Make sure your printer is somewhere somewhat climate controlled, garage or damp basement is not a good spot for them. And don't go crazy buying stuff, I see a lot of people get 3D printers then spend $300 on filament and stuff and only use it a few times 😂.

An even better deal is to just buy 2x Sovol SH02, which is what I have, they are $69 each.

All the benefits of independent chambers, and without the risk that one single expensive piece of gear dies and needs replacement.

The heater in this deal has a bit more power than the SH02.

Also I had 2 creality dryers before and returned them over bad RH sensors. The ones in my SH02 unit on the other hand have been great.
