To anyone with On Order / Ships Soon. You might be out of luck, this means an employee acknowledged the order and they are out of stock at the location your order was sent for fulfillment.

Second order, Mon, June 23, 9:19pm. for 2 quantity Edit: paid expedited shipping 23.99
Both order were placed at A local college in California. Both used a different email and phone #, and CC
Next Morning, June 24, My first order got cancelled because my payment got denied. CC thought it was fraudulent, stopped the payment, and texted me... so if this didn't happen, I believe this order would have gone thru. Sadly I tried sending them a message but was told to contact another bookstore in Cali because they canceled it. I left that alone and gave up the order. I should have at least try calling to see if they can try the payment again.
For the second order, June 24 at 5:30am, order status changed to "on order, ships soon". I Never got another email after that. I lost hope for it after a week but still check the status everyday.
Out of the blue, on July 2nd around noon, I got a missed call from my local college and a message asking "if I was still interested in the iPad. Since my order was for 2 and they only have 1 left. They can fulfill it for 1 ." I called back the next day and the associate said I can come in and pick it up if I'm interested. He could not ship it because the order is for two and his system won't allow it. So I went in and pick it up. He charged me for "in store purchase" at the sale price 249.99. Then he canceled my online order.
We were talking and I asked if my order was for 1, would it fulfilled automatically and ship? He said yes.

I'm guessing, as was stated earlier in this thread, that the order is canceled on their end due to lack of stock, but it's not showing on our end.
With as many deal forums that this was posted on, etc, I can't imagine they have any inventory left.

I got it and it works fine. Trackpad takes some getting used to but I never liked using a trackpad.
