Unfortunately, I received a defective unit, and the experience since then has been incredibly frustrating. The vacuum broke within three weeks of use, just after the return window closed on their website. Despite sending it in for repair three times over the course of three months, the issue was never resolved, and they still refused to offer a replacement. Customer service was unhelpful and difficult to deal with throughout the process. I would recommend purchasing from Amazon instead, where the return process is likely more reliable.

I have both the original Freo and the Freo X Ultra. I've had the original for two years with just three issues, one of which was covered under warranty and was repaired easily. I also had a problem with the unit getting enough traction to enter to the base station, but placing some traction tape on the base resolved it. Additionally, my automatic water exchange unit broke due to using cheap aftermarket mop pads that clogged the dirty water drain. I highly recommend using the mop pads from the manufacturer, so far any cheap alternatives accessories on Amazon have caused no issues except for the mop pad.

I've been using the Freo X Ultra for about a year. I clean up my kids' toys beforehand for the best results, and I haven't had any issues with it. I'm considering buying another one because this is a great price and I want to replace the original Freo; the tangle-free brush on the X Ultra is fantastic. The Freo X Ultra has been the best robot mop/vacuum combo.

Do not buy this counting on good obstacle avoidence. Check out 'Vacuum Wars' on youtube for one.
