50% off isn't accurate as it's been $63 for years (according to camelcamelcamel), but it's still a good price.
This is similar to what has been my shoe for a few years now: https://amazon.com/dp/B00FZN1KWE so I'm down trying something new yet familiar.

No. They tend to stretch out after extended use and start to flop around.

Go Merrell Moab or Salomon for hiking.

Thank you for your recommendation. I also saw some recommendations of barefoot shoes. Do you have any experience or views on that?

Depends on where you're hiking. If you're going through the west coast US mountains or desert, no way. If you're more of a mid-west or east coast mountainn/park hiker, they'll be OK but train your feet with them for a month or two before attempting.

The poster should edit the list of sizes at the top of this page. Many of those sizes are no longer available, and some are a higher price.
I do like sketchers for comfort, unfortunately my size isn't available.

I'm in for a 9.5W, should be a decent replacement for the Skechers S Sport I'm wearing at work now.

The biggest issue with these "slip-in" shoes is the wear on the fabric where you slide your foot in (heel area). Fairly quickly, there will be a hole where the highest "bump" area is that keeps the shoe from sliding off your heel. The only solution I could find for that was buying heel insert protectors from Amazon, although that's not a permanent fix. The glue that holds the protector in place will get gummy and slide around, esp. in hotter weather. This design is a great idea, don't get me wrong, but the wear issue is a problem with any design like this. If you're OK with that, go ahead and order. They are comfortable and easy to put on and take off, just remember there's a trade-off for that convenience.
