soooooo i actually bought one of these like three weeks ago after my old one fell into a contractor bag full of nasty and i couldn't recover it. i had the same reaction as everyone else: looks like butt and quesitoning how it could be better than a $.97 special held together with the single middle screw. smooth action 100%. i hate to rep Amazon goods, but it's held by the little button - while it won't dangle open as soon as you push, there's no real friction opening it and one handed is pretty easy. of course, that's the one i got, who knows what kind of consistency the QC has

Pretty fat when it's in the closed position.

Looks like you REALLY have to flick it to open it if you want to do it one handed. (giggity). Then to close it, it's got a bit of friction to it also, so not as easy.

you could just go to the amazon page where it shows that its basically a butterfly knife with how easy the movement to open and close is. i was enamored.

Yea I saw one of the video reviews. My Milwaukee and cheap kobalt ones it just dangles like a pendulum clock that's how smooth it is. This one seems partly friction fitted. I'll pass

Whatever happened to if you don't have anything useful to say don't say anything? This isn't the "I have a better one at home" forum dad. I am in for one it's basically free.
It's a discussion forum O.o

Anyways.. If there's a similar one less than $7 that can open and close smooth (unlike this amazon basic one), that'd be nice. I'd settle for a random chinese brand one lol

Not sure what you mean by fat, but I can't get over how the blade mount sticks out like a hump when folded. I have a Husky lock back utility knife with this design, and it works great, but I hate the hump.

I bought one from the last time it was posted here and it is very decent knife! I bought another one because they do get misplaced easily !
