I have this robot (bought new, not a refurb), and really love it. It was an upgrade from an older roomba and then a shark r750. The room mapping and criss-cross patterns look great, and it's still amazing how much crap it continually gets from the carpet.
I'd say I'm pretty clean, but anytime I look at what the robot picks up, I stand corrected.

I chose this vacuum over the higher models because of the higher vacuum power. Until recently reading something on it, I didn't even consider that the higher suction was probably due to it having a dual roller instead of the single. Either way, it does a great job.

I've never used the mopping function, I don't have high hopes for that - but eventually will give it a shot.

In the market. It looks like the Q5 Pro+ is also on sale. Which would be your choice for a small house that's all hardwood and laminate?

I have a refurb Qrevo Master and I love it as well. I always use mopping together with vacuuming, because my little kid crawls a lot.
I think roborock is a game changer and the using experience is completely different compared to roomba. I also own a iRobot j8 from costco, and I thought it was a good deal when I purchased it just 2.5 years ago. And now I feel the roomba is so dumb when navigating. It's designed to hit the wall a little bit to understand it needs to stop going forward. While the rock can just tell the right path mainly with its camera/sensor, hence the cleaning time is much shorter. I definitely use it more after switching to roborock.

I have all the same thoughts, i own this same robot. 10/10 on the vacuum portion, the moping barely works. it's essentially just dragging a wet microfiber cloth behind it, it's not very useful, but the rest of the robot is superb.

RTINGS says it's pretty good for the $300 price point for hard floors, but they don't count mopping, just debris pickup, which doesn't take into account the grime and oils on the floor. I have the Eufy S1 Pro, and it's amazing since it's actually cleaning your floors with continually clean water & detergent, not just smearing dirt around. Eufy came out with the E25 which might be an improvement at $765.

I bought the QRevo on the last front page deal and it's even cheaper this time around. This is my first time having a 'smart' vacuum that can map and it does a great job. I've used it for a month and it has amazing suction and I love the mopping and auto-empty + auto-cleaning.

need one for vacuuming only, on a high carpet (I'm gonna keep it on my second floor - no mopping is needed). is it up to the task? there are so many Roborock models that I'm confused

I have the q5, bought over 2 years ago. Exceptional vacuum and thing keep filling up the basket every 2 runs even if the floors looks clean. I continuously considered a mop but mopping with an ocedar once every 2 weeks is barely 15 mins of work while the q5 does the daily vacuum.

This or the Q5 Max+ for a little bit more? Amazon has it on sale new for $279. Mopping isn't important for me, I'm looking to use it for vacuuming carpet and hard floors. What are the main differences? Edit: Apparently these are the same items? Can anyone confirm? That's a bit confusing

If you have pets and carpet/rugs. Avoid the DuoRollers like the plague. They do such a terrible job. I run the bot on turbo to hopefully pick up a little bit of hair. However this drains the battery and it doesn't finish my house in one run.

If mopping is not needed or desired, then seriously. Any model sold today by roborock, including the cheapest ones, will do a good job vacuuming. There could be differences in how often you need to clean them out, particularly if you have high carpet or pets. I've never used the do the dual roller versions and others say that they aren't the best for deep deep carpet but you could research that a little bit.
The main thing to know about the more expensive models and the newer models is that most of the advances you're paying for are in mopping, anti-tangling, object recognition, and self-sanitizing (which is only important if you're mopping). Suction power is just marketing -- a pointless arms race.

I love mine. And I like that the name "Roborock" sounds like an homage to the Jetsons and Flintstones.

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my Q8 Max does pretty well on hardwood with dual rollers. Is this experience with hard floors or carpet? I'm thinking about picking up a Q5+ just for upstairs which is almost all carpet.
