Note that when you see budget projectors that use wording like, "support" or "supported" next to resolutions, it is going to be a lower resolution output but the unit ACCEPTS higher resolution inputs. You want to look for a "native" 1080p budget projector of which there are tons and you can even find them around these prices these days. Not all are good and it has been several years since I played with a bunch of them before I decided to go all in and get an actual home theater projector but the best model I ever tested, hands down, was the Vivimage Explore 3. It's wild to think about but you can buy these brand new today for just $40 on eBay: https://ebay.us/m/5jDBXH
