So tired of this shitty American attitude.... "Murica is better than any other shithole country"... I lived one year in Istanbul and used to feel safer there walking dark streets at 1am than I ever felt driving back home from the airport in broad daylight in Michigan.

What am i missing? Lol is it supposed to be dangerous? I've been there 5 times now over the last 10 years because it's one of my fav places I've ever traveled to.. Istanbul was very touristy which was good for my first trip there.. but going around all the different cities is where it's really at… it was safe and everyone was so friendly and it's an affordable place compared to Greece next door.. I actually even took a ferry from Turkey into Rhodes island, Greece for a day which was nice, but everything in Rhodes was expensive so a day was enough😂
My favorite area was Fethiye where they have these amazing views from a restaurant above and then there's paragliding up there too next to it. Blue Lagoon has the most natural blue clear water where I could see all the fish and things right from the boat before we went swimming in it and I even bought delicious crepes on the water from this local couple who make them on their own little boat!😍 My fav thing to bring back is Antep pistachios and saffron!Talking about it all makes me want to go again lol😌 I still have to go back for Cappadocia, but waiting for the perfect month and weather to align with my off days since it's known for its hot air ballooning!

Turkey is one of the best countries in the world for medical tourism. There are many good hospitals and doctors. Need a titanium disc replacement? A hell of a lot cheaper there.

I can't believe how advanced they are! Getting my dental work done there was next to nothing compared to my quote in TX WITH insurance! ..and the work was incredible!🤯

Non-narcotic drugs are cheap and no Rx needed.

Have no idea about US CBP import limits for personal use.

I thought slick dealers had higher IQs. Leaving those comments alone, I need to warn who wants to go there about the prices. Currently, Turkey is probably the most expensive country in the world for eating out. Medical is still cheap and high-quality though.

Bullshit. I'm there every 2-3 years. For Americans or Europeans it's best value! Different for Turkish people earning money there. For them it ain't easy.
