I had a fancy one of these and realized it's worse than a cheep koozie in every way. steel thermos are very heavy, and they aren't any better than foam. The top of the can is exposed in either case, so there's no way to be much better regardless. You can stash 6 koozies in your pocket. 2 of these things are heavier than a 6 pack.

I salute those of you that meditate on a 12oz can long enough for this to make a difference.

These are better in a pool, at least, because the foam ones get saturated and then are no longer insulating.

No idea the difference between brands, but I picked up a BruMate branded 23oz tallboy one of these a few years ago, and my drinks are still ice cold if I'm still working on it an hour+ later. Cheap foam koozie's aren't even in the same ballpark from my experience

The thermos metal ones are awesome and kick foam coolers to the curb.

But they are better though? lol these keep a can cold literally 10x longer than the thin cheap foam koozies. The cheap ones still have their place but if I'm not slamming beers there is def a massive difference in how cold my beer is 15, 30, 60 minutes later.

I'm kind of in the same boat.
I have a Yeti "coozie" but hardly ever use it.
And like someone else said, if I'm having a beer it's usually gone before I have to worry about it getting hot lol

But then you have sweating on the outside coozie, which is the main reason I use the coozie Smilie

(I down the drink too fast for heat transfer matter much)

I have a couple of basic slide-in Thermos metal coozies and they work great for cans and short-neck bottles, but again it's more about being too lazy to mess with coasters or have a slippery, sweaty surface. It does delay the warming but nothing like a real tumbler.

Why was the koozie invented? It gave you a soft, neutral temperature grip on a cold can.
This is accomplishing the opposite, it is giving you a worse grip on an even colder, larger cylinder if you are chilling it.
Is anybody taking long enough to drink a 10oz can that it's getting warm?
Anyways $7 is pretty good
