I'm in the same situation as you. What I don't like about the switch was there was lag and I can never time my jumps correctly.

Great question. I have switch 2 and didn't even think to try.
My saved game even transferred over automatically.

The game runs fine now with no more lag on switch 2. I even beat a level on switch2 that I couldn't beat from switch1 due to the input lag.

Probably if you stream it from a gaming pc with Steam or XBox/PC Cloud streaming.
Probably not worth the hassle since you'd have to run Steam through x86 translation to ARM and the games too. You could try it and let us know for $4 bucks.
