Bough long time ago Massey brand. It works good for small area. Strong with metal blades. It start making noise at the highest speed but still works! Looks similar what I have

I bought one of these probably 10 years ago, and it was probably the worst fan I ever buoght. The fan blade is basically one angular bend in a piece of sheet metal (x3), and gives the worst air-flow I had ever seen. There's no "curves" whatso ever to catch or divert airflow, which is the whole purpose of the fan.

I'm not going to thumb this deal down, but beware.

I would say stay away.

Pic on walmart says this uses about 78 watts. Is that correct? My 20" box fan uses 80 watts.

This general design has been around for a long time but there have been a several variants with very different levels of quality. I've purchased at least four. The first was branded as a Lakewood fan, and sold at Walmart for about $15 in 2008. It was smooth and quiet and lasted ages. The subsequent ones were bought either on Amazon or Walmart and branding varied. But they've all relied on mounting mechanisms that caused the fan to be imbalanced. Generally they tend to have a hole in the center of the fan where the miter shaft is inserted. And the bore tends to be a bit larger than the shaft of the motor (probably because it's a cast piece with minimal machining work on the bore, so they leave a lot of clearance to account for the inconsistency in the castings). There's a set screw that holds the fan on the shaft. By its nature this design tends to offset the fan slightly from the motor's shaft, which makes it wobble at high speed.

To make things worse, the last two that I bought came with the fan blades bent at different angles. Opening it up and bending everything to a consistent angle helped but they were never perfect.
Finally, they use some sort of bearing that always seems to fail within a year or two now. I've tried lubricating them but it doesn't seem to help.
So, that's a long way of saying that the design is nice, and there are versions of these fans that are real gems. But there are also crude versions that will vibrate and rattle and drive you nuts before ultimately failing.
