If you're upgrading a watch, you can price match with Best Buy and trade in your old watch. Example: Apple Watch series 8 (41MM / GPS) in good working condition: $100

Been using Apple Watch 4 since last 6+ years , no complains for the usage I do. Always tempted to get the new once but then I feel no reason to let go my series 4. Anyone on the same boat ?

I still have the SE1 but think I'll finally upgrade this year. Battery beginning to be an issue.

Generally, the upgrades have been very iterative and underwhelming. However, the upgrade with the series 5 and always on display has been a significant quality of life improvement.

Got my kid the older 1st gen SE cellular and the location tracker practically nonexistent. The watch died within a day they misplaced it and iCloud won't keep a record of the location a couple days later. On the fence about getting a replacement since series 9 and above has precision location tracker, but this won't be any much better if they lose it again?

Any idea how long this sale will be available? I want to buy it as a friend as a gift for their birthday in about 20 days but don't want to be out of the 15 day return/refund window if I don't get the right one.

Imagine paying $300 for a watch that barely lasts over 24 hours.

Meanwhile I get 2 weeks between charges without having to use any kind of "low power" mode.

Bad product imho. I'd say the same about WearOS watches too though, and Garmin is just unreasonably expensive.

I agree with your sentiment with the exception of the last sentence. Garmin Venu 3 (latest revision) can go as low as $349 and has a battery life of 10+ days when not using GPS.

Yea - exactly. You have to compromise out the butt to get 10+ day lifespan.

Where as you can pick up an Amazfit Balance 2 that does just about everything these watches do, minus EKG, and lasts 2 weeks WITH gps/hr/etc etc etc all enabled. The sad part is these watches have been around for several years now with this level of battery life. And ZeppOS has a whole developer platform. People are flocking to the $100-150 watches that last 2 weeks and are fully featured.
