I happen to love the weight 😂 This laptop is meant to be a desktop replacement and I rarely move it around. If the weight means better build quality and cooling, I am all for it. BTW I bought the exactly same model from Dell for around the same price in late May, and it was the cheapest 5090 laptop back then.

I believe this has one of the best thermal management for a laptop so if you absolutely don't want a desktop but want the most powerful laptop you can get, this is it. But you're still gonna paying almost 2x what an equivalent desktop would cost. But yeah the whole thing weighs like 13 lbs with the charger so don't expect this to be portable in the sense that you'd throw it in your backpack daily and commute.

This thing looks insane... I almost want to buy it to brag around, even though I will never benefit from all the power that it boasts.

It says max RAM 64GB but I'm wondering if one could put 2x64GB DIMMs in there. Can anybody confirm if this would work?

Jesus Christ. $3300?!? Im glad people can even use these. I case up even my rinky dink travel phone. I'd be afraid to put this in my backpack 🎒 or let it intake fresh air.

According to their official manual, I don't think you can: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/alienware-area-51-aa18250-gaming-laptop/alienware-18-area... [dell.com]

Shows in stock in Tustin, CA so you might wanna remove California from description. Not available in Santa Clara though.

Great find as always, doc!

CA, is for Santa Clara on, not California. They have the same abbreviations which creates this confusion. Nonetheless, thank you for pointing that out.
