Is there a way to read books from there on a Kobo e-reader?
If not, it's also discounted on Kobo's store too.

Bummer, there is not a way to do that on DRM titles. I just looked it up, sorry. I'll consider this a donation to the local bookstore where my kid goes for storytime.

Looks like they are adding Kobo support later:
• We are working with Kobo to support Kobo devices later this year.

I loved the first book but found the second one super boring and couldn't finish it.

Reminder: you can go to the author's website and buy DRM free versions of the books as well

These are now in audiobook form after not being so for a long time. Check your public library system to see if they offer digital audio book services. libby, overdrive, hoopla

I got maybe halfway through Wool before deciding I just don't care for these books. My main problem is the author's writing style. It feels like a YA novel. Nothing feels like how people really think, or how an entire society trapped in a silo would work.

For instance, at one point some characters need to make a journey up a hundred or so floors of the silo, by staircase. This supposedly takes 4 days. Has the author never been in a tall building before? The book is full of stuff that just feels kinda naive. It reminded me a lot of the Divergent books to be honest.

The Apple TV show is quite good.

I agree. First book was amazing. Pushed myself through the second but could not get myself to even begin the third.

Same here. The problem with Shift is I'm finding it hard to discover the protagonist. When you don't care about what happens to any of the characters it makes the story feel like a waste reading. So far to me the show is better than the books.
