Li-ion, not capacitor. Not sure if it's a good camera, but >$300 for something that won't last two hot summers is questionable.

FYI: Li-ion will degrade quickly when exposed to >100°F for a prolonged period, say if you park outdoors regularly like me. Capacitor is heat insensitive, and stores enough juice to transfer your video to the SD card in the event of a crash. No reason to ever go li-ion unless it's a super budget camera and,you just want to see if a dashcam is right for you (it is, and you shouldn't spend >$200 on one unless you drive commerically).
