Photo to confirm previous comment.

Tagging onto previous comment, top right please view SSD slot 1.

HP manual states 5070 ti, 5080 and 5090 cannot be removed without removing heatsink pipe. GPU's below can be with tweezers etc!

It's a great deal but do not put the 512GB in, pay the extra pennies for a 1T 5x4 or something then upgrade your SSD slot 2 with a beast!
If you get get by with the 512 do it but i ordered the 5070ti model with the 512 and saw this when opened up, they've waived the restocking fee and I Have re ordered the 5080 with a 1TB 5x4 in slot 1

If the 512 isn't an issue go ahead, I would just prefer a slightly larger especially faster boot drive and keep my SSD2 upgrade for all my games and data!
It's just a head up.

Hope this info helps all!

I've had to make an account just to help people. This IS a GREAT deal, do 16gb 1 stick ram stock sell it on ebay for $40 or whatever you can get back for it, buy your own (Example) crucial 64gb 5600mz for around $130 on sale, the one thing nobody realises and this posts doesn't mention. DO NOT use their stock 512GB option, the SSD slot 1 is situated under a heatsink pipe which voids the warranty if removed and you have to repaste the GPU AND CPU. This is the only option to bite the bullet and get at least the 1TB 4X4 OR 1TB 5X4. I know this because i ordered the 5070ti option last month and to be honest it's very good no thermal issues, BUT I wasn't aware of the SSD issue until I got it and also XMP profiles are locked so you can't use XMP RAM nor can you use ram like KINGSTON Impact Fury 6000, not just because it's XMP, but it will run at JEDEC Native 4800 instead of the laptops 5600 let alone the RAMS power of 6000. Also doesn't appear you can use ram over 1.1V this Impact Fury is 1.35V. Just a heads up, so something like Crucial 64GB 5600 CL46 is the option i settled for, until timings get better on DDR5 laptop ram in the future.

DO NOT use their ram it's a rip off but as I said the SSD, pay the extra pennies for a faster slot 1 option! upgrade slot 2 at your own needs it's easy as usual. BUT SLOT 1 IS A F******

unless I'm missing something obvious this seems like it is a crazy deal. Price beats out any recent front page laptops with a 5080?
