This "deal" has been around for years 😂. Nothing to see here.

I think this listing is referring to the expanded benefits through AAFES: https://corporate.homedepot.com/n...nationwide

I got a notification on this as well. I believe this is in reference to HD items now being sold on the exchange. So technically still the same benefit that has been for years, but not really.

Ya, this is new. Used to be large appliances only. Vastly expanded selections. Really great update.

This is ancient history. What a worthless post.

I didn't know this. One Link doesn't mention if it includes veterans who were honorably discharged. Anyone know ??

Also saw something about an Apple Discount somewhere. Does anyone know if any of the Xchanges has a discount on iPhones? Thx.

If you can shop from AAFES, you're eligible. From AAFES:

"The Catalog and Exchange Online Store are for the exclusive use of authorized Exchange customers throughout the world.

This includes:

Active Duty Military
100% Disabled
Retirees
Reserves
National Guard personnel
Ready Reserve
US Civilian DoD employees, when stationed outside of the US
Department of State Officials serving in foreign countries
and dependents of the above
Honorably Discharged Veterans*
If you can shop for retail merchandise at your local Exchange, you are authorized to order from the Catalog and Exchange Online Store.

If you have any questions about your eligibility, call toll free in the U.S. 1-800-527-2345.

*Honorably discharged Veterans of all United States Armed Forces and Reserves are authorized patrons of the Exchange online store. Veterans shopping in foreign countries need to have a valid APO/FPO/MPO/DPO address."

That was just for appliances. This is for the entire Home Depot site. You log into AAFESYou get your everyday 10% HD discountWhen you're ready to checkout, it sends you back to AAFES to pay. The big factor (for others that weren't aware of the appliances deal) is that it is then also tax free (beats just getting 10% off/covering tax)

WoW. Thx to both of you guys.

I got out in the late 70's. Definitely will use the discount especially for iPhones.

The confusion here is because Home Depot started selling appliances and other large items tax-free with military discount through AAFES and NEX a couple years ago. That's why people think this is old news. But the news is it's expanded it to many more items.

Tried this. No 10% anymore on appliances. Just don't get charged the tax.
