Do not waste your money on this. It's a POS, thin nylon bag which ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT hold 24 liters, no matter how generously that is figured.

So if I buy it to stuff with just 22l of stuff, would it be a good buy?

If anyone is looking for a very useful, small hiking backpack, I recommend the hydration packs from Ozark trail at Walmart. I prefer the 14 L backpack size. Plenty of room for a light jacket, sunblock, snacks, and many other necessities, but in a trim size that also has multiple compartments, compression straps, a waist strap, and a sternum strap. Also, it has a padded mesh back which makes it comfortable to carry even if you have awkward items in the backpack, as well as comfortable, padded straps. Many of the packable backpacks do not have a padded back (for obvious reasons) but the sacrifice in comfort and practicality makes these packable backpacks almost not worth the bother unless you are just counting on them for a place to stash items and haul them through the airport.

The Ozark trail hydration pack in the 14 L size will cost around $30 but it's actually very reasonable for such a useful backpack. Remove the hydration pouch and set it aside if you're not looking for that feature. I recently went on eBay to purchase an older model of one of these backpacks because the one we have has been used so much (school field trips, a two-week trip to Asia, many bike rides, etc.) that, while it is still intact and has no tears or damage, is getting rather soft and floppy. The two adults and two teens in my family got accustomed to reaching for this humble backpack on a regular basis over the past 5 years. I felt like treating myself to a new onei and found one, new with tags, on eBay.

Did a little shopping on Amazon I could not really find anything comparable for the price.

You can look at Walmart . com for the current version of this hydration backpack.

Edit: models to look for are Larimore or Finley Creek. Both show as completely out of stock on Walmart.com , but you can check back later or check eBay. Also, be aware that there are hydration packs with 1.5 L water pouch that have a smaller backpack but that would be a very small pack, I think.
