I suggest you invest in the Skil 12v version instead. Dewalt and Makita 12v is dead. No future for it.

Why doesn't Milwaukee make one of these?

The Skil 12V (tool&battery) seems to be sold out a lot of places

I think this is likely because Project Farm did a comparison on these and the Skil took first place. Makita sadly was middle of the pack, but best at cutting cardboard

I had the skil 12v ordered from Acme tools a couple months back and they sent the following email:"Hello, Thank you for contacting Acme Tools. We have received information from Chervon-Skilsaw that the ES4651A-00 has been discontinued and there are no replacement options available. As a result, we have had to cancel your order. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."So it seems Chervon discontinued the product immediately prior to project farm dropping their video which boosted it's sales. Inconvenient timing! Ive got a ton of cardboard i want to mulch but I guess I'll just use razorblades, not buying into makita just for this.

If you have to cut a whole lot of cardboard, I suggest using a small 12V reciprocal saw (or whatever you have invested) with a 6" blade. You can cut it more quickly and efficiently than this tool. Also, it doesn't care how thick the cardboard is.

I bought the Skil one for two reasons:
1. An excuse to invest in skill 12V
2. Cut plastic packaging
