The one seen in most of the reviews with images/videos uploaded are very similar to mine with the flexible neck. I think having a flexible metal neck would be far better than a ridgid one when lighting candles with multiple wicks in a jar or something. Maybe it doesn't matter at all.
Aside from the fact that you can find these for cheap all over Amazon, I wouldn't buy from this post based on the obvious product swap they pulled once they got some reviews on a different plasma lighter.
All of that being said, rechargable plasma lighters are absolutely awesome. We only charge ours maybe twice a year for occasional use and it is incredibly convenient. I have found that the plasma contacts can generate a lot of carbon buildup with continued use. I actually thought the unit was melting over time but decided to try to CAREFULLY clean it with some isopropyl alcohol and it all broke free and it worked perfectly again.
Plasma lighters are one of those things that I didn't think I needed until I got one and now I can't go back. I'm sure these lighters are fine. I just don't like the slimy tactic of changing the post by the seller.
Yeah, right. And when the integrated battery dies, this will be landfill.
Better to have replaceable rechargeable batteries
