Got these last time. One doesn't come with a cover. You can even see it in the picture.

That kinda, sorta makes sense, since it's assumed that at least one toothbrush will be in use once the package is opened. The covers are strictly for storage purposes. A wet toothbrush needs to air-dry....or you'll be brushing your teeth with bacteria!

In the product details, it specifies that these toothbrushes are "solar-powered"! I kid you not (check it yourself). Amazon's product pages are often a fun-read! Accuracy? That's secondary!🤣

.....and these are $1.06 for 2 (with S&S) and come with covers (so that you can throw away the packaging after you destroy it while opening it).

I'll take leftover my bacteria from earlier that day (case on) than aerosol'd pooparticles from the entire family flushing the throne (no case)

The covers are ventilated and meant for a toothbrush in-use. The 2-pack at Dollar Tree also comes with 2 covers.

Snagged it. I travel for work usually a week and a time so 50 cents a piece for throw aways is still a decent deal.

That's true (plus, it's cheaper this way)....but don't be too surprised if the packaging gets damaged, thanks to Amazon's reckless and sloppy packing/shipping practices. It seems like Amazon sets the standard for the worst packing/shipping practices in the world!

Supposedly, the covers are ventilated. They may not provide quick enough drying, but they do provide an opportunity for what you mentioned to still infiltrate the toothbrushes. The ideal solution is to keep the toothbrushes elsewhere. Not very convenient, but I would prefer the inconvenience over what you mentioned (infiltating the toothbrushes).🤢

I haven't used toothbrushes with covers yet (I ordered these)....but it's safe to assume that they'll dry more quickly with the covers off vs. on. The key to preventing bacterial growth is fast drying....although even dry toothbrushes are somewhat vulnerable to bacteria. Especially in a bathroom environment.
