Anyone that makes fun of you for using a bidet has a dirty rear. Simple science.

Water would need to heated. Our NE WI water in winter is in 40's. Almost straight from Lake Michigan.

Most decent bidet do that, on top of that seat too heats up and many other features!

That's cheap. The one that's on the "saved for later" was like a TOTO for $400.

I buy them for a family member to use when on military orders - they're larger than standard wipes, don't pill, and don't smell. He uses them for washing when he doesn't have access to a shower.
Please thank them for their service to our country. God bless them and your family.

Even unheated bidets have decently warm water because they tee off the supply line and just sit there warming up from the ambient heat of the bathroom space until used. Of course, if you like to sit there and blast for a while, it will eventually get colder. Personally, I've found no need and the cheapest bidets have the advantage of lower complexity and better water pressure control (a ball valve with unlimited adjustment versus an electronic control with limited, stepped gradations).

Here's an example of an awesome, simple, and cheap bidet for anyone who wants to give bidets a go (you won't go back, I assure you):

I had 2 electronic bidets in my house and added a 3rd manual on in a smaller bathroom. One day, my water sensor was going off and I saw that the manual bidet was spraying like a water fountain.

Long story short, one of my kids (5 years old at the time) didn't turn it off. Luckily, it was only for about a minute or so. I added an outlet in the next week and changed to an electric bidet due to the seat sensor.

These are glorified baby wipes. If you need to use them, just buy better toilet paper.
Showers work too if you can plan things right. No way I would flush these things down my plumbing.

Bought a bunch of these from meh one time and they were pretty awful, to be honest. They're so fragile that I almost never could pull a full sheet out from the packaging. It would just continuously rip off the tiny little bit I'm grabbing onto, and the only way I was able to get any out was basically rip out a large chunk from a few sheets at a time.

I'll second that recommendation. Got mine from Costco, but we only have 1 installed in the house so we fight over that bathroom haha. Will order a 2nd soon.

Can you explain? Clearly TP is flushable. What is the reason they can't make a wet wipe out of a flushable material? It really just feels like one of those things where a few idiots flushed baby wipes, and then claimed they were using flushable wipes and now people act like nothing is flushable.

Always wondered what makes poop flushable and fibrous paper unflushable? These wipes do tend to disintegrate when soaked in water.

I have IBS. Toilet paper doesn't cut it sometimes.
