I'm not sure if this is YMMV, but if you use the promo code GETKINDLE15, you could get an additional 15% off. Not sure if this is combinable with the trade-in deal.

I can't change the title for some reason... maybe a mod can fix the two prices issue.

Anyway, this is $20 cheaper than the last FP deal.

I believe the previous deal was this - https://slickdeals.net/f/18366514-10-2-16gb-amazon-kindle-scribe-e-reader-w-premium-pen-2024-model-300-more-free-shipping
If so, it's $40 cheaper than prior.
Yep! That's the one. I was getting the prices mixed up (hence the goofy dual pricing in the title I can't fix). Thanks for the link!

I picked up the 64Gb version for $309. Less a 20% trade in of $62 and 10% CB on my Prime Card. So all in will be $214ish plus a $5 GC for the trade in item. Finally get to upgrade my old Kindle Oasis.

Anyone willing to share impressions of this as an ereader? My wife uses her kindle almost daily.

We're about to have another kid so she's going to have a lot of down time for books but is it too heavy to one hand while she's got the baby in the other?

Right now she's using a normal kindle with a pop socket after our toddler spiked her old oasis and broke the screen. She loved her oasis and id love to get her something else

Yes, definitely both heavy and large to use one handed compared to a kindle pw. I actually would go the other direction, and think something like the boox palma would be perfect for your wife's use case

That would be awesome but doesn't work for me.

Note, it was a little wonky for me. I added the promo code, and it said it successfully applied it, but the price didn't reflect it. I had to get out of checkout and re-checkout to see that it applied. Looked like this in the end.

I've been using various Kindles since 2007 and I currently have two: the Oasis and the first gen Scribe.

The Oasis is my primary e-reader (I got the Scribe mostly to mark up PDFs) but I like both. The Scribe is definitely the fastest e-reader I've used; it's just a bit less convenient to hold for a novel due to the size. Usually I'll use the stand to keep it upright.

If I didn't already own a Scribe I would definitely jump on this deal.

Nice, yeah definitely YMMV - my account doesn't let me do it unfortunately.

It doesn't show if you select the Kindle Unlimited option. I think that's why OP put this in the description "3 months free Kindle unlimited included for Prime members (but may affect trade in)."

Worked for me when I started a trade in independently then went to purchase the scribe!
